The North Salem Lions Club awarded seven North Salem graduates a Community Service Award in 2023.

The monetary awards (totaling $6,000) were allocated and presented at their 2023 respective graduations. All seven recipients are residents of North Salem, although they attend different high schools. This year’s recipients were

Gavin Smith (Archbishop Stepinac)

Julia Russo (NSHS) and

Samantha Vilkelis (NSHS)

 The Lions are very proud of these young people for their accomplishments, and we wish them a happy future. Learning through volunteering is an important part of a young person’s education. Our community certainly appreciates the efforts of our young people on our behalf.

Lions Golf Outing 2022

The Lions Easter Drive-By 2022 with Susan and Warren Lucas, the Easter Bunny (Lola Molina) and her Lion helper (Enzo Molina) at the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library. 

 Scholarships 2022

Four North Salem 2022 graduates won a $1,000 Lions Club scholarship:  Anna Behler, Kurt Guldan, Katherina Nardone and Tyler Sandor.  

Four graduates won $500 Lions Club scholarships:  North Salem's Noelle Stratman and Enzo Molina, Stepinac's Colin Smith and Kennedy's Philip Mascia.

Scholarships 2021

Three North Salem 2021 graduates won a $1,000 Lions Club scholarship:  Timothy Gallagher, Gabriella Posa and Gabriella Pelosi, while seven more earned $750 scholarships:  Tyler Golisano, Aidan Houlihan, Allison Outhouse, Catherine Senatore, Kristen Reiss, Ian Woloshyn and Jacob Yoel.  Abby Bascia from Kennedy High School was also awarded a  $750.00 scholarship.  Congratulations to all the hard working rising stars.  Proud to Serve

In March the Lions hosted a drive-by Easter event at the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library.  Easter Bunny Lola Molina and her Lion helper Enzo Molina along with many Lions were there to greet all the families and hand out baskets.
